Privacy Policy
Plainly: this website collects almost nothing, and the product keeps your records on your own computers, governed by your own law.
The short version
This site is static and collects almost nothing. The one place any information is sent is the get-started form, and only so we can reach you. The Waaban software runs on your own computers, your records stay encrypted on your hardware, and no outside party, including us, can read them.
This website
This site does not track you across the web, build profiles, or sell any information. If your tribe optionally turns on basic, privacy-respecting visit counting, it records only aggregate page views, with no personal profiles and nothing tied to a name.
The get-started form
When you fill out the get-started form, you send us your name, email, and the few answers you choose to give, only so we can reach you about your request. This is the one place any information is sent, and it never includes a tribe's records. We use it to have a conversation with you, and nothing else.
Your records and the product
The Waaban software itself runs on your own computers. Your records stay encrypted on your hardware. We do not read them, copy them, sell them, rent them, or share them. We do not use your data to train any model or product. There is no cloud that holds your records.
When you need help, we support you without reaching into your data. If a specific issue ever calls for it, you decide what, if anything, to show us, and only for as long as it takes to fix the problem. What your nation puts into the system is yours to export or remove whenever you decide.
Data sovereignty
Your data belongs to your nation and is governed by your nation's law and your nation's decisions, not ours. Because the system runs on your own equipment and stays on your own infrastructure, your control over it is real and physical, not a promise about someone else's servers.
No outside companies
We do not hand your records to third-party companies, and the product does not depend on outside services that would see your data. The system is built to work on its own, on your hardware, so there is no chain of vendors quietly holding what belongs to you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page over time. The date below shows the current version. If a change affects a nation we are actively working with, we raise it with you directly.
